Interesting new isolation from Schisandra lancifolia. The stereochemistry around the cyclopentane should be tricky enough to put in, and there’s plenty of opportunity for racemisation alpha to those carbonyls…!

Yeah, either there, or in KC’s new labs in Singapore. Or at least thinking about it. Tot. Syn.’s spies suggest that everything isn’t going entirely to plan in Singapore, and KCN isn’t particularly happy. Apparently, they’re somewhat lacking in chemicals (no nearby Aldrich depot = natch).
